Michigan's Adventure has an opening for the position of Manager Safety Security in Muskegon, Michigan.
This full time position will report to our General Manager and Vice President.
Responsibilities include providing operational assistance and support to the Vice President and General Manager.
Plans and directs all safety, fire, and security operations designed to protect personnel, guests, and park property.
Assist all departments in establishing and implementing safety, security and emergency procedures.
Knowledgeable in safety, health, and MIOSHA regulations.
Coordinate regular safety and fire inspections on premises.
Oversee the company's fire control and suppression systems through proper maintenance and monitoring.
Responsible for establishment and revision of the Emergency Action Plan Responsible for handling all worker's compensation claims.
Handle, review and approve general liability claims and settlements within approved corporate guidelines.
Ensure that the company and staff follow all appropriate public agency requirements and compliance guidelines.
This includes permits, notification procedures, accident investigations and inspections.
Work with corporate safety with setting reserves.
Responsible for the maintenance of the park's Safety Data Sheet and Hazard Communications Programs.
Coordinate and assist other departments in loss prevention.
Interview, hire, and train departmental personnel.
Maintain a close relationship with local law enforcement agencies.
Responsible for the investigations of suspected misdemeanors and felonies committed on park property.
Responsible for the supervision of associate and guest parking areas.
Prepare and administer the budget for safety and security department Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair Associate Rules of Conduct.
Responsible for purchasing in area of responsibility, utilizing JDE.
Responsible for park cleanliness.
Adhere to and enforce Cedar Fair dress and grooming standards.
Adhere to and enforce all Cedar Fair Associate Rules of Conduct.
High school diploma or equivalent, and knowledge that is normally acquired through four years of college resulting in a Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
Strong background in public or industrial safety with a good working knowledge of worker's compensation and insurance procedures.
Must have excellent organizational skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work with applicants, associates, contractors, vendors, and guests in a positive, productive and professional manner.
Ability to meet scheduling availability requirements.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to maintain composure during high pressure situations.
Ability to handle and appropriately prioritize multiple tasks while working under time constraints and quality pressures.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
