Electrical Engineer
This position is located in Muskegon, MI and is geared toward an individual with 0-4 years of experience.
Electrical Engineers are responsible for designing and testing electrical systems and controls systems for these products including both electrical hardware and software/firmware.
Responsibilities will include:
To apply knowledge and experience to powertrain design projects.
To conduct failure analyses to identify root cause and corrective actions.
To conduct tests, document test requirements and write test plans based on test objectives.
To initiate and coordinate activities in support of projects with other departments within Engineering and with other functions (Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Program Management, etc.)
To resolve technical issues with suppliers
To support production, assembly and test.
To recommend, plan and implement component, subsystem and system improvements.
To write Engineering Change Requests (ECR's).
To support proposals.
To design or modify low power 28 VDC circuit cards.
To perform circuit card analysis.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required; Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Specific experience in circuit board design, layout, packaging, routing and test.
Strong written and oral communication skills for assisting in the development of specifications, design documentation, and requests for proposal.
Familiar with Microsoft Office tools.
The position requires some domestic and international travel for conferences, design reviews and partner/vendor visits.
0-4 years' experience.
Previously held security clearance preferred. Ability to get security clearance required
