Summary:
Top plant management position responsible for achieving customer satisfaction, profitability, and sustained growth at the divisional level.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
The following job duties are moderate to complex and require strong Interpersonal, communications, motivational, and leadership skills. Decisions focus on prioritization, process and issues and usually involve moderate to high risk to the organization. Results may have a long-lasting impact on the organization.
1. Know, comprehend, and support all applicable PCG policies, procedures, and work instructions applicable to plant functions.
2. Enforce conformance to all applicable PCG procedures and work instructions as they pertain to plant functions.
3. Participate in ongoing as well as annual reviews of plant-related procedures, work instructions, and forms.
4. Provide input with corporate staff for the creation and ongoing use of the plant Management Review.
5. Plan tasks & actions to support the overall achievement of the business plan goals and objectives.
6. Manage and direct plant management staff to complete items on divisional Management Review in a timely manner.
7. Responsible for continuous improvement activities as they relate to divisional functions.
8. Responsible for controlling costs (division) against projected monthly budgetary targets.
9. Achievement of 100% on time delivery to all plant assigned customers. Instituting documented corrective countermeasures were not maintained.
10. Safety is a high priority at Port City Group. Safety is to be monitored, audited, and enforced.
11. Support, monitor, and provide resource for implementation of internal & external corrective action(s). To include insuring assigned tasks and responsibilities are completed per timing established.
12. Support corrective-action meetings on a scheduled basis.
13. Maintain and audit good housekeeping practices and habits.
14. Direct resources to maintain customer satisfaction (schedules, quality, past dues, new launch support, and necessary containment).
15. Access and be aware of Powerway new releases as they pertain to divisional needs.
16. Responsible for customer interface as needed and/or required.
17. Drive and direct completion of action item lists for plant corporate audits.
18. Lead and direct all daily/weekly plant performance review meetings. Identifying opportunities for improvement and instituting applicable reactions.
19. Responsible to spend time circulating on the shop floor with all associates, fostering communications and team spirit
20. Support the plant quality mission statement.
21. Monitor/review the PCG engineering newspaper for knowledge of new job progress/status.
22. Expected to practice and maintain the highest level of professional character in dealing with internal and external needs.
23. Responsible for ongoing completion of assigned red/green checklist activities.
24. Active participation in plant related APQP activities (meeting, participation, idea interjection, etc).
REQUIREMENTS:
POSITION SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE (MINIMUM)
1. 2-4 years college in related degree field desired along with 5-10 years manufacturing management experience in the die cast industry preferred.
2. Knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting.
3. Knowledge of kaizen, visual workplace 6-s, kan-ban.
4. Advanced level supervisory skills training.
5. Have had Dale Carnegie, Zenger Miller, or other related skills training.
6. Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Etc.
7. Problem solving skills ref.: 8-d, team oriented problem solving.
8.Knowledge of implementation skills regarding preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
9. Basic QS-9000 requirements knowledge.

1. Big 3 Automotive production system techniques with implementation skills.
2. Environmental management systems knowledge (ref.: ISO-14000).
3. PFMEA knowledge (process failure mode & effects analysis).
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
