Open Heart Surgical Technoligist
Applies basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, microbiology, and pharmacology in preparing, anticipating, and passing surgical instrumentation to the Surgeon and sterile field.
Positions
Qualifications:
Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or comparable previous experience.
Completion of Certification Examination within one year of employment and maintains certification by participating in continuing education activities.
Well-developed hand and eye coordination in imparting instrumentation to the surgeon and surgical field.
Well-developed communication skills, both written and oral.
Is able to communicate effectively with individuals and groups representing diverse perspectives.
Articulates and demonstrates commitment to the philosophy, values, mission and vision of the organization.
