IT Infrastructure Technician

TAD PGS, INC. is currently seeking a IT Infrastructure Technician for one of our clients in Muskegon , MI . Per Government sector, candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and also must be able to obtain a Security Clearance.
Major Purpose:
Perform day-to-day infrastructure administration duties including service desk, network and server troubleshooting & support, Exchange administration, and desktop configuration and support
Configure, install, support, and administer the CPS Cisco network environment and Microsoft Exchange server(s)
Provide support in the areas of storage (SAN), virtualization (VMware), firewalls, VoIP, and Citrix as required
Assist with data backup and recovery including offsite storage management and Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning
Provide support and assistance with local, group, and active directory permissions and security, as well as user account/application access and security
Provide ongoing technical support to CPS users, IT staff, and customers, including desktop imaging, configuration, and deployment
Prepare detailed project plans and provide customers and management with regular updates regarding progress to plan, milestone completion, barriers, issues, risk, and performance against schedule
Ensure a complete and accurate inventory of all hardware and software is maintained and reviewed on a regular basis
Technical Skills:
5-7 years of infrastructure support and administration including: service desk, Cisco switches, Windows 2003 & 2008/Red Hat Linux servers, and MS Exchange 2010 servers required
5-7 years of storage technologies (EMC Clarion SAN), virtual environments (VMware), Checkpoint firewall, and Citrix XenAP/Access Gateway support and administration preferred
Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, NFS, DHCP, FTP, and SMTP required
Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving complex hardware, O/S, and application related problems on PC and server platforms required
Experience and/or training in Oracle RAC technology preferred
Working knowledge of data backup and recovery solutions required
Commvault experience a plus
Experience administering servers in an ERP application software environment, preferably Infor Visual Manufacturing using an Oracle database preferred
Strong team and customer service orientation
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Must be capable of obtaining a DOD security clearance
Must be able to move freely, with or without reasonable accommodation, throughout a manufacturing environment
