Muskegon, Michigan (on-site) The Production Analyst ensures that daily production and accounting requirements are met through analysis and reporting.
Successful performance ensures that systems accurately reflect production status in order to maintain a high level of customer service and allows for accurate data for planning and decision-making purposes.
Maintain inventory status of site's raw materials, WIP and finished goods by obtaining and analyzing information from production paperwork and performing physical cycle counts.
Investigate inventory discrepancies and correct any errors by working directly with the purchasing, scheduling, technical and warehouse functions to reconcile all inventory needs.
Assists the Controller in the operation and control of the financial transactions required to operate the business, including the preparation of financial reports for cost control and budgeting.
Assist with month end close process including journal entry preparation, analysis, and reporting.
Monthly variance analysis including information gathering, spreads, costing.
Co-lead site's physical inventory processes.
Review Warehouse Monitor and provide documentation of problems areas.
Correct errors as needed using SAP.
Prepare and analyze weekly and monthly reports for distribution using SAP and MSOffice.
Reports include Production Reports, Absorption Reports, Gas Usage, Inventory Reports, Yield Reports.
Assist Controller with various accounting and data reports.
Monitor capital and expense spending.
REQUIREMENTS Associates Degree in a business related field or equivalent experience Two years' experience working with accounting or inventory systems in a manufacturing environment preferred Ability to communicate courteously with internal and external customers and ensure both verbal and written communication is clear and direct.
Strong analytical skills and possess the ability to assess a problem and promptly resolve or escalate to management if needed.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time.
Intermediate skills using a MRP/ERP system along with MS Word and Excel required.
