Description of Work Under the supervision of the Community Development Director, an employee in this class provides administrative support to the Parks and Convention& Visitors Bureau.
An employee in this class handles routine and complex administrative functions, interacts with the public and other employees, and completes assigned duties as required.
Required Minimum Entrance Qualifications A.
Required Experience and TrainingAssociates Degree AND at least two years of experience in an office setting performing administrative duties; OROne year of college coursework (30 credit hours) AND at least three years of experience in an office setting performing administrative duties.
Physical Conditions / Work Location PHYSICAL ACTIVITIESAn employee in this class performs generally sedentary, as well as light physical work activity, requiring the occasional lifting of objects weighing thirty-five (35) pounds or less.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONSAn employee in this class generally works in the CVB/Parks office, though occasional travel throughout the county and throughout the state may be required.
Additional Information EVALUATION CONTENT Office Proficiency Assessment Exam 100% - To evaluate 10-key (7,500 kph), Basic Word 2019 and Basic Excel 2019The selected candidate must take a post-offer medical examination (including back screen and complete physical) and drug screening test given by a County appointed physician before the first day of employment.
An offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the medical examination and drug screening test.
Applicants for County employment may be subject to a post-offer criminal background check, depending on the nature and assignment of the position.
When such check is conducted, an offer of employment is contingent upon the results of the criminal background check.
Appointees must satisfactorily complete a probationary period before the appointment will be considered permanent.

PURPOSEThe purpose of this recruitment is to establish an eligible list from which to fill present and future vacancies in this classification in the County system.
For each opening, the Department Head has her/his choice of the candidates who meet the required minimum entrance qualifications.
